Connecticut River Museum
Museums across the state feature special holiday decorations and programming, including the Mark Twain House in Hartford, the Holiday Train Show at the Connecticut River Museum in Essex, the Lantern Light Village at Mystic Seaport, and Mantels for the Season at the American Clock & Watch Museum in Bristol. Gillette Castle State Park has its halls decked until January 2nd, and hosts holiday tours through this weekend.
Connecticut Magazine’s Things to Do in CT this week cites several holiday-themed activities, including The Magic of Lights at Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field, the Holiday Lights Spectacular at the Hartford Healthcare Ampitheater in Bridgeport, and the Peace on Earth Holiday Art Show at the Spectrum Art Gallery in Centerbrook.

And the American Red Cross is currently holding its annual Holiday Giving Campaign, as well asking donors to give blood to combat the ongoing national blood shortage.
